Cruise Ships

Annually almost 300 international cruise ships visit Helsinki bringing over 360 000 tourist to explore our city. The cruise ships dock at South Harbour, Katajanokka and Hernesaari. Hernesaari has a temporary cruise ship terminal for turn-around passengers, which was completed at the end of May 2008.

Helsinki Cruise Network

Helsinki Cruise Network is an informal network to increase the competitiveness of Helsinki as a Baltic Sea cruise destination. To carry out this commitment the Network
- develops the co-operation between its members
- coordinates and develops the services for cruise passengers in Helsinki
- supports the marketing of services
- supports the sustainable development
- promotes the cruise business in general

Cruise Finland

Cruise Finland is an informal marketing co-operation aiming to maintain and increase the cruise business in Finland. See more information here. 

Cruise Baltic

Cruise Baltic is a three-year EU project that is now continuing until 2010.
It started in 2004 in order to increase the number of cruise ship passengers to the Baltic region; raise the proportion of cruise ships in the Baltic Sea's share of the global ship market; and increase the number of passengers that return after their first visit to the region. Cruise Europe

Cruise Europe was founded in 1991 after a meeting between 27 European Ports, where the objective was to work co-operatively to market Northern and Western Europe in order to attract more cruise vessels to the ports in these regions of the world. See more information here.
