Logistics services
The logistics area next to the Vuosaari Harbour houses logistics service providers, enabling a flexible and fast movement of goods. The logistics area is meant for incoming and outgoing cargo loading and unloading, containerisation and recontainerisation, short-term storage and other similar logistics operations.
In the first phase, terminals A-D will be built in logistics area N. The operation is based on the so-called flow-through terminal model, with terminals and storage units located between the public street network and the closed port area. One side of the buildings is connected directly with the closed port area and can thus be reached by port machines. The other side is connected with the public street network and can thus be reached by public transport equipment. Sponda Oyj is responsible for planning the area as well as for facility marketing and renting.
Logistics area S is located at the south end of Satamakaari Street. It will house Nurminen Logistics Oyj's terminal area and Paulig Oy's coffee roasting facility and office building.

Trailer truck traffic in the logistics area
The logistics area is located adjacent to the closed port area and has an access control system of its own.
The main route to the logistics area passes through Satamakaari Street. The exit to that street comes soon after the Vuosaari road tunnel. Movement in the logistics area is guided by signal lights.
The Gatehouse located in the gate centre also serves trailer truck traffic to and from the logistics area. The Gatehouse is reached via the Satamatie Road roundabout and Seilorinkatu Street. The route via Satamakaari, Käärmeniementie and Seilorinkatu streets also provides convenient access to the Gatehouse.
