Parking can also be paid for using a Comet parking payment device, by which the hourly parking rate is based on the first hour's parking rate for each of the city of Helsinki's payment zones. This particular payment method results in a rate that is higher than rates resulting from the use of other modes of payment.
The Port of Helsinki’s long-term parking lot P5 is under video surveillance, and images are recorded. However, vehicle-owners themselves are responsible for any damages incurred in the parking lots.
