
The Helsinki City Rescue Department held a disaster training at Vuosaari Harbour on 30 October 2020. The disaster scenario was a gas leak caused by a train collision.
It is particularly important to practice the response to accidents together.
The participants in this particular training included the Rescue Department as well as personnel of the Port of Helsinki, the Helsinki Police Department, Traficom, the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, VR, Traffic Management Finland and the Finnish Border Guard.
The training is based on the Rescue Act and the Decree by the Ministry of the Interior on external emergency plans for sites that pose a special risk.
