On 1 May 2019, Marika Pauli (M.Sc. (Food Science)) takes up her role in the Port of Helsinki’s passenger services as the Head of Passenger Services Development. Pauli has extensive experience in the trade sector, and she is transferring to the port from Finnair’s customer experience unit.
Development of a seamless passenger experience is one of the key projects of the Port of Helsinki. In connection with this project, the role of the Head of Passenger Services Development includes developing the terminal infrastructure and passenger services as well as developing the passenger experience across the travel chain.
–I have many years of experience in the development of business, core products and services. I’ve carried out a great deal of development work, and for the last four years I’ve focused on developing the customer experience. I’m also familiar with the expectations of international passengers, particularly visitors from Asia, Pauli says.
–The Port of Helsinki is undergoing an interesting phase, with large changes underway. It’s interesting to examine the entire travel chain together with other operators. I also see a great deal of potential in the development of the port’s commercial offering.
