Modern payment methods being adopted in harbour parking

Cash will no longer be accepted as a payment method at the Port of Helsinki’s parking areas in the South Harbour and Katajanokka after the turn of the year. The change will have no effect on parking fees. 

“Various parking applications are rapidly growing in popularity, and customers also want services to be convenient,” says the Port of Helsinki’s Security Manager Eero Laaksonen, discussing the reasons behind the change.

 “Our customers will continue to be able to pay for parking via Taskuparkki, EasyPark and ParkMan. Our payment terminals will also continue to accept the most common credit and debit cards, just as before,” Laaksonen confirms.
