The Port of Helsinki selected Aimo Park as its parking services partner in summer 2020. The Katajanokka terminal will be the first managed by Aimo Park as of 5 October 2020 onwards.
For customers, the renewal means the replacement of payment machines and the implementation of new automatic license plate recognition. Parking payment options will be expanded with the introduction of the Taskuparkki application, which will be available alongside traditional payment terminals and EasyPark and ParkMan services. A payment machine that accepts cash in addition to card payments will be kept at Katajanokka until the end of the 2020.
- Parking pricing will remain the same at Katajanokka Terminal.
- The parking area will remain accessible as before without unnecessary stops or gates.
- Parking will be based on automatic license plate recognition.
- Several payment options available (mobile applications and payment machine with contactless payment).
Aimo Park will be taking over the management of the parking areas at Olympia Terminal and Makasiini Terminal in October 2020, the West Harbour follows in spring 2021 in connection with the new Port Parking garage.
