The free family event Satamahulinat will be held in Jätkäsaari on Sunday 12 August. The Port of Helsinki welcomes everyone to this outdoor event with fun attractions for all ages! The event will feature interesting performances, fun things to do, nice opportunities to meet local operators and tasty street food.

Programme
3 pm Waters of the future. Seminar on the versatility of exercise and the future of responsible tourism. The discussion will be held by Annika Järvelin (founder, Duara Travels), Jukka Punamäki (senior advisor, tourism, City of Helsinki), Sinikka Hartonen (Senior Advisor, Finnish Shipowner's Association) and Kati Ihamäki (VP, sustainable development, Finnair) and moderated by Kati Kelola (editor in chief, Mondo; author of the Vastuullisen Matkailijan Käsikirja travel guide).
4 pm circus artist Kai Kuutamo and the Merkkarit band, children’s concert

Other attractions include horseback rides, a hobby horse track, an arts and crafts station, glitter tattoos and other fun surprises for kids. In addition to shipping companies, entrepreneurs operating in Jätkäsaari will also take part in the event with their own attractions.
Music for a summer evening
The evening will kick off with R&B and rap sure to get visitors moving, performed by the velvet-voiced Karrikoira. A seasoned veteran of the Finnish rap scene, his first solo album went immediately gold. His best-known hits include ‘Lähe mun kaa’ and ‘Kaikki tai ei mitään’.
The festivities will be completed by Kasmir, who will invite everyone in Jätkäsaari on his raspberry boat. The immensely popular star of music reality series Vain Elämää will indulge the audience with positive vibes and unique interpretations of great songs. Since rocketing to the top with his 2014 summer hit ‘Vadelmavene’, Kasmir has gained great popularity with songs such as ‘Vauvoja’, ‘Iholla’ and ‘Kaija’.
Activities for children and children at heart
The youngest attendees will be provided with fun-filled activities between 4 pm and 6 pm. Kids will have a chance to try horseback riding on wonderfully soft Icelandic horses, sing their hearts out at the children’s concert by Kai Kuutamo and his band Merkkarit and give a fun hobby horse track a spin. Come do some arts and crafts, find pleasant surprises at the Tallink point or give Ville Viking a hug. There are activities for everyone!
The children’s concert will begin at 4 pm, come and join the jam!
Good food and enjoyment
The event will feature delicious street cuisine served from food trucks. Adult taste buds will also be pampered with specialty beers and wines.
And the super-delicious ice creams served from the Porvoon Jäätelö ice cream bike are bound to please everyone’s tastes!
