Starting from Friday 7 June, Tallink Silja Gold customers can wait for boarding at West Terminal 2 in an exclusive Summer Lounge area. The lounge is a summer-long trial organised jointly by the Port of Helsinki, Tallink, Isku and Panorama Bar.
The Summer Lounge provides frequently travelling Tallink Gold customers with affordably priced delicacies. Perhaps
you would like some strawberries and champagne or a latte and rocky road while waiting at the terminal? The cosily decorated area features elements such as green plants and stylish Isku furniture. Passengers can test Isku’s new furniture selection while familiarising themselves with Tallink’s frequent customer benefits.
The three-month trial is a good example of how the Port of Helsinki develops passenger services in co-operation with its partners.
“We want to respond to passenger needs in an agile manner and see how popular a more exclusive waiting area will prove – the area is in line with the benefits of Tallink’s passenger classes, and customers have wished for a service like this at the terminal. It will be very interesting to hear what kind of feedback passengers give on the Summer Lounge,” says Marika Pauli, Head of Passenger Services Development at the Port of Helsinki.
“After the summer, we will use the passenger feedback and the shipping company’s experiences to assess what kind of new services we could provide at our ship terminals in the future and how they could be integrated to be part of the shipping companies’ member benefits.”
