Helsinki Samba Carnaval in the city centre on Saturday, June 13 – exceptions in traffic and public transport

The Helsinki Samba Carnaval returns to the city once again, offering a colourful and rhythmic experience for everyone. On June 13th, the day of the samba parade, ferry passengers are advised to allow extra time to reach the terminals. Changes to public transport will begin at 2:00 PM, when trams will be diverted to exceptional routes and delays may occur in public transport schedules.
The samba parade will start at 3:00 PM and end by 8:00 PM at the latest. The parade will depart from Senate Square and follow the route Unioninkatu – Pohjoisesplanadi – Mannerheimintie – Aleksanterinkatu. The parade will disperse onto Mikonkatu and Yliopistonkatu. Streets along the parade route will be closed to traffic and parking will be restricted.
