Maira Kettunen appointed VP Communications of Port of Helsinki

Maira Kettunen M.Pol.Sc has been selected as VP Communications of Port of Helsinki Ltd and a member of the Board of Directors. She will start in her post in mid-May.

Kettunen has extensive experience in communications and public relations in the private and public sector as well as the third sector. She has served as the advocacy manager for Helen, communications director for the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities and Fennovoima as well as working in various central government communications posts, including for the Parliament. She will leave her post as the communications director of the Finnish Association of Private Care Providers to join us.

The role of the port is very important to the City of Helsinki and Finland at large both in terms of passenger traffic, foreign trade and security of supply.
