HSY’s water supply network renovation causes traffic arrangements, especially when driving from the north towards the center of Helsinki, for example, to Katajanokka or South Harbour. The work will begin in July 2025 during week 29 and will be completed in August 2025.

The contractor at the site is Vision Infra Oy. As a result of the work, there will be temporary traffic arrangements in the area, and some of the work will be done at night.

First phase

• The work will start at the end of week 29, and the estimated duration of the first phase is 3-4 weeks.
• The intersection of Aleksanterinkatu and the E75 road will be closed to vehicle traffic, and the detour route will go via Mariankatu and Kirkkokatu.
• In the first phase, pits will be dug at the end of the E75 road and Aleksanterinkatu for water pipe replacement. The work on the E75 pit will be carried out at night (10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.).
• During the daytime, drive-over bridges will be arranged at the E75 pit, allowing traffic to flow almost normally.

Second phase

• In the second phase, the work will continue on the E75 road between Kanavakatu and Katajannokanlaituri.
• The work will be carried out at night, and during the daytime, drive-over bridges will be used at the pit.
• The work will last approximately 1-2 weeks.
