Vuosaari Harbour Day is a happy family event. This year, the performers are the ever-popular, iconic Anna Hanski and pupils from music classes at Vuoniitty Lower Secondary School and Vuosaari General Upper Secondary School.

LEARN MORE about the operations and operators of the most important export port in Finland, ADMIRE the large vessels, HOP ON a locomotive engine, fire engine, X-ray vehicle or troop carrier.
JUMP on a bouncy castle, MARVEL at tricks performed by a magician and PARTICIPATE in work demonstrations. You can also ENJOY the legendary canteen doughnuts of the Finnish Defence Forces!

PROGRAMME

• Port of Helsinki staff will be presenting the port from the viewing platform on the 13th floor.
• Tours of large vessels.
• ANNA HANSKI and Vuoniitty Comprehensive School and Vuosaari General Upper Secondary School music classes will be performing.
• Bouncy castle at the Vuosaari Church stand.
• Two fire engines and fire extinguishing training at the Vuosaari and Marjaniemi Volunteer Fire Departments’ stand.
• VR Transpoint stand – come along and learn more about the work of railway yard workers and the shunter.
• See a Pasi troop carrier and a car for the canteen for service personnel at the Guard Jaeger Regiment stand.
• You can climb inside the cab of a lorry at the Rahtarit freight carriers’ association’s stand.
• Taikuri-Jari, a magician, will be visiting the Finnlines stand.
• See the X-ray vehicle and Customs dogs at the Finnish Customs stand.
• Lounasmatti will be serving delicious food and drinks in the Gatehouse restaurant.
