City cycling is an easy and sustainable way for ship passengers to move around in Helsinki

The new city bike season starts on 1 April and lasts until the end of October. City bikes are an easy-to-use and environmentally sustainable way of exploring the city, especially for the ship passengers as there are bike stations close to every terminal.

Tourists visiting Helsinki this summer will be delighted to find that in addition to traditional public transport services and taxis, they can once again make use of the city’s shared-use city bikes. You can buy city bike passes for the whole season, month, week or day. Registering as a city bike user and purchasing passes is done at hsl.fi/citybikes.

All city bike stations and the number of bikes available at each station can be conveniently checked in the Journey Planner. The Journey Planner also shows routes using city bikes when the bike option is enabled in the tool’s settings.
