Fire on Tallink Megastar at West Terminal extinguished

During the night between Wednesday and Thursday, a bus caught fire on the car deck of the Tallink Megastar cruise ship. All passengers were safely evacuated, and no injuries occurred.

The Helsinki City Rescue Department received the alert at around 12:30 a.m. and was waiting for the ship at the West Terminal. The ship’s crew began firefighting immediately after detecting the fire and successfully contained it. The fire did not spread to other vehicles.
