The Katajanokka terminal is located in the center of Helsinki and has good public transport connections. In addition, you can hop into a taxi or rent a car at the terminal.

Trams

Tram 4, Vyökatu stop , 400 meters from the terminal.
Tram 5 from Töölö via the Central Railway Station to Katajanokka Terminal.

Single tram tickets can be purchased e.g. using the HSL mobile app, or HSL ticket machines nearby the terminal. Ferry passengers can buy tickets from Viking Line ferries.

Connections

Railway station (2,5 km):
Tram 4, to Lasipalatsi (short walk to the railway station).
Kamppi bus terminal (3,2 km):
Tram 4,, get off at stop Lasipalatsi and walk to Kamppi shopping centre.
Helsinki airport (22,6 km):
Tram 4,, get off at stop Lasipalatsi and walk to the Railway station, from there take bus 600 or trains or P.

Taxi services

Taxi stands are located right outside the terminal. The lane closest to the terminal is reserved for Lähitaksi and Taksi Helsinki. They offer a safe and reliable service, clear pricing and they use low emission cars. The drivers have good language skills and taxis are also available during night time and rush hours.

Car rental at the terminal

The Port of Helsinki and Hertz Car Hire are now offering passengers a convenient way to rent a car directly at the terminal. Passengers who make use of the new service will also get a discount of up to 10% on the car hire prices on Hertz’s website.

The key to the rental car can be picked up from the Hertz key box located in the terminal departure lounge using a PIN code. The car will be parked in a parking space with Hertz signs by the main entrance.

The car can also be returned to the port by parking it in the Hertz parking space and returning the key to the key box.
