The Port of Helsinki supports the protection of the Baltic Sea and the residents of its neighbouring areas

This year, the Port of Helsinki made Christmas donations to the Baltic Sea Action Group and to the diaconal work of the Helsinki Cathedral Parish.

The Port of Helsinki together with its partners promotes solutions that take the private sector and the maritime industry towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly shipping and sea travel.

“Environmental work in the Baltic Sea region requires long-term commitment. We believe that by working together, we can still change the course of our business environment, the Baltic Sea, towards a sustainable future,” said Communications Manager Eeva Hietanen.

The Port of Helsinki continues to support the low-income residents of its neighbouring areas. With the help of a Christmas donation by the Port of Helsinki, the Helsinki Cathedral Parish’s diaconal work will be able to aid local low-income families and individuals with grocery store gift vouchers.
