Terms and Conditions for Advance Parking Reservations – Port of Helsinki

1. Scope and Parties

These terms and conditions apply to the advance parking reservation service provided by Port of Helsinki Ltd at www.satamaparkki.fi.

The service is provided by Moovy Oy on behalf of Port of Helsinki Ltd.

2. Definitions

  • Parking Product: The right to use a specific parking service during the validity period of the reservation.
  • Price Product: A reservation option that determines the price and cancellation terms of the reservation.
  • Advance Reservation: A reservation that has been paid for and confirmed by the Customer.
  • Parking Area: Parking areas of Port of Helsinki Ltd available for advance reservation.
  • License Plate Recognition System: A system used to register entry and exit.

3. Formation of Contract

The contract is formed when the Customer:

  • selects a parking product,
  • selects a price product,
  • pays for the reservation,
  • receives a reservation confirmation.

4. Use of the Parking Product

The Customer must use the reserved product during the validity period of the reservation.

The Customer must park in the parking area specified in the reservation.

Use of spaces for persons with reduced mobility requires a valid disabled parking permit.

5. Making, Modifying and Cancelling a Reservation

5.1 Making a Reservation

A reservation applies to a parking product and its related price product. A specific parking space cannot be reserved. The maximum reservation period is 45 days.

5.2 Modifying a Reservation

A reservation cannot be modified. If the Customer wishes to modify the reservation, the original reservation must be cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation terms and a new reservation must be made. The price of the new reservation is determined according to the valid price list. The vehicle registration number can still be changed before entry, even if the cancellation period has expired.

5.3 Cancellation

The right of cancellation is determined according to the terms of the selected price product.

For products without a right of cancellation, the payment will not be refunded. For products with a right of cancellation, the cancellation must be made within the deadline specified in the price product. A fee may be charged for late cancellations in accordance with the terms. Cancellation can be made via the “Manage booking” link included in the booking confirmation.

6. Arrival and Departure

Entry is based on license plate recognition.

Entry is permitted at the earliest 30 minutes before the reservation begins.

Exit must take place no later than 30 minutes after the reservation ends. If the vehicle exits after the reservation period, Port of Helsinki has the right to charge for the excess time according to the valid price list.

7. Liability and Limitations of Liability

The service provider’s liability is limited to a maximum of the total price of the advance reservation. This limitation does not apply if the service provider has acted intentionally or with gross negligence.

The service provider is not liable for:

  • indirect damages suffered by the Customer, such as loss of income or damages related to agreements between the Customer and third parties,
  • damages caused by the Customer’s own error or negligence or failure to follow instructions or parking rules,
  • damage to vehicles,
  • force majeure events,
  • incorrect information provided by the Customer (e.g. incorrect license plate number),
  • parking in the wrong area.

8. Customer Obligations

The Customer undertakes to:

  • use the product in accordance with the terms,
  • follow signage and instructions,
  • use the area only for parking,
  • provide correct information,
  • park the vehicle properly and comply with the rules of the area.

9. Prices and Payment

  • Prices are stated in euros (€) and include the applicable value added tax.
  • Prices are determined based on the selected parking duration, parking area and parking product.
  • A separate service fee may be added to the price and shown to the Customer before confirmation of the reservation.
  • Payment is made at the time of booking. Accepted payment methods include debit/credit cards, online banking and MobilePay.
  • The price list may be updated without affecting reservations already made.
  • No refund will be given for early departure.

10. Processing of Personal Data

Personal data is processed for the purpose of registering parking, processing payments, and carrying out supervision in accordance with Port of Helsinki’s privacy principles and applicable legislation. By making an advance reservation, the customer consents to Port of Helsinki Ltd transferring collected personal data to Moovy Oy (vehicle registration number and email address). License plate data and other personal data are processed in accordance with the privacy notice: portofhelsinki.fi/privacy

11. Validity of the Terms

These terms are valid until further notice, and updated terms apply to reservations made after the update.
